I am still working on the continuation of ,”Eat Foods With Fat: What Is Your Response to Carb Overload” (3). It will be out no later than tomorrow.

But I just saw this and wanted to share ASAP!!!!

Jack Kruse: “One molecule of glucose has only six carbons. Glucose can make 28-30 ATP (ATP is energy).”

“One molecule of an 18 carbon stearic acid, a FFA (A Free Fatty Acid found in saturated fat), has three times as many carbons as glucose but makes five times the amount of ATP (147 ATP) while only having two times the caloric density of glucose.”

Jack, it seems you have hit the Jackpot on explaining one main reason why the coined phrase, “less calories in coupled with more calories out (exercise),  or CICO, leads to weight loss” is not always as efficient as manipulating macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fat).

Eating more fat and protein and less carbs is more efficient at burning energy (ATP) from excess stored body fat.

Thank you!
